Choosing Courage Over Fear

Choosing Courage Over Fear
Courage Over Fear

We all have a story to share. What's yours?

Maybe you are looking to write a book, or start a podcast, or start a business.

Whichever path you long to take, there will be a story to share.

Let me share a little secret.

Sharing that story can be really scary and challenging.

Because of that fear, you want to share...but then again, maybe not.

There's this invisible force that stops you from realizing it, accepting it, and taking action on it.

I kept telling myself I didn't have time.

Guess what?

I kept creating situations that zapped up my time.

Created excuses NOT to do the work.

I had to, first, recognize the power of my story, and understanding that there were people out there who needed it.

Your story is SO, SO powerful. And SO, SO needed in the world today.

It takes courage to stand up and share. It takes courage to break out of the comfort zone of our excuses and limiting beliefs and create change in our lives and the world.

I hear you, though...

"I don't know if it's going to work."

"I don't know if I can succeed."

"I don't know enough."

"What will other people think?"

These are all all the voice of fear pushing against your story. Often these are rooted in limiting beliefs that leave us discounting our abilities. We worry about the future. We worry about the money. We worry about whether or not we will succeed. These fears suck the joy of the creative process right out of us. And we forget to sit in the excitement of possibility.

You have no obligation to do anything. You don't need to share your story. You don't have to start the business, or write the book, or create the next best thing since sliced bread. But if something is nagging at you and won't leave you alone, you owe it to that tiny, mad idea (and yourself) to follow that nudge.

One step after the other.

You don't need to have all the steps. You just need the NEXT step.

When you choose that one step, you can sit back, and breathe a little bit. It creates space for your creation, your idea, and your story to marinate in possibility and fun.

You can succeed. If you choose it.

Your idea will work. If you allow it.

You know enough. If you give yourself permission to recognize it.

Others will appreciate your work. If you allow yourself to appreciate your own work.
